What made the session special was that it was never just about taking photographs. Julia shared stories about Madrid throughout the walk, including the story of King Felipe VI and how he married someone outside royalty. She told us how that story shaped her belief that anyone can be a prince or princess in their own way and throughout the session, she genuinely made both my wife and me feel like one. Her storytelling, recommendations, conversations and even her food suggestions were simply marvellous. It felt more like exploring Madrid with an old friend than having a photoshoot with someone we had just met. And of course, the photographs speak for themselves. I stylistically love the look of candid photos, but we don't have the instincts to know what to do in front of a camera for candid photos to actually look good, and Julia was great at directing us for that and also got some wonderful posed pictures too. I had prioritized a variety of backgrounds, movement, light, and natural smiles -- Julia delivered on all of this. Definitely book a photoshoot with her if you're headed to Madrid! ”
